When you have made a decision to pursue an office, a particular practice, some of the things that you should be concerned about and definitely want to get answers to are going to be again the existing overhead. What is the overhead today because again you buying this practice, your overhead is going to pretty much stay the same. If you are able to do the same type of dentistry that the previous seller has been doing, your overhead should stay the same. Just make sure that you are able to fill the seller’s shoes. Make sure that again that you are going to be able to do exactly what our pervious doctor has done in the past; otherwise, you won’t make the same production and collection that that seller has. So, when you are looking at these patient charts, summary of information as far as what has been done in that office is a wealth of information. This is going to tell you that this practice generated so much income from this service that is rendered, make sure that it is going to be a service that you are going to be able to provide. For an example, this doctor might do 10% TMJ and you can't do that 10% TMJ, that means that you are going to lose 10% of that income; or this doctor might do 8 to 10% of Endo and you may not do Endo. So, all these things you have to take into account when you are auditing an office, just again trying to determine that what that previous doctor has done in the office is going to be something that you are going to continue to do.
